New 3D rendering tool ensures quick and clear quotation
Gondella, the European specialist in shop fittings for supermarkets, is currently putting the finishing touches to a new 3D rendering tool. The visual configurator and quotation tool will bring many benefits. What can Gondella's customers expect? Jan Vannieuwenhuyse and Glen Wullaert, respectively customer service manager and sales manager at Gondella, are happy to explain.

Clear and efficient
Customer service manager Jan Vannieuwenhuyse was jointly responsible for the development. He expects the new tool to be operational for a first major customer by the end of 2024. After that, the plan is to add other franchise groups step by step. It will change a lot for his team.
“Currently, we fill in all components - such as the right quantities, colours, packaging ... - manually into the quotation. Our people are well trained on this, but of course it requires very high concentration and a lot of time. Our goal is to help our customers even more smoothly and better. So we looked for a way to build quotations faster and clearer for the customer. With the new 3D rendering tool, you can simply drag every piece of the layout - once it has been entered into the tool with all its parts - into your quotation. That works much more efficiently.”

Jan and his team are currently in the final testing phase before it is rolled out to the first customer. Here, each quote will be created both in the traditional way and via the new 3D rendering tool. ‘If we find that the quotations are identical to each other every time, we are sure that everything is perfectly in place and the new tool will effectively go live,’ he concludes with satisfaction.
