Meet Chesney De Clerck, our Production Manager at Gondella Belgium. He started his Gondella journey in 2017, initially as a team leader in the powder coating department, quickly advancing to the role of production manager.
His personal journey mirrors the company's evolution somewhat: from hands-on learning and leading in the coating department to driving major digitalization projects.

What is your role at Gondella?
“Overseeing the Belgian production. I ensure orders leave on time, and coordinate closely with sales and logistics, focusing on efficiency and team support."
What is the best part about your job?
“By far improving processes. I just love it, and I never settle for half measures. I try to motivate my team do to the same. Like automating useless, repetitive tasks – that really gives me a kick.”

The most surprising thing you've learnt about yourself?
“Just growing a lot personally I think? The training and support from colleagues not only upped my professional game but also helped me be more confident, also in the ways that I interact with my team”.
How have you seen Gondella evolve over the years?
“Oh you should've seen us when I started— lot’s of things we’re still done on paper. I helped to shape our digital transformation in production. We've also diversified our assortment tremendously and embraced tech like robotics and automation.”
Finally, can you describe Gondella in three hashtags?
"#Challenging, because no day here is boring. #Openminded, as there's room for new ideas. And #opportunities, we get the space to grow ourselves. That's really it. I feel supported and valued – and that's worth its weight in gold."
