Your role:
In this position, you will be the driving force behind Gondella's commercial growth in Belgium, the Netherlands and France. You will translate strategic plans into concrete results, actively seek out new business as an entrepreneurial hunter and build lasting partnerships with customers.
You will lead a team of two sales engineers and report to the General Manager. You will work closely with the Marketing Manager and be a member of the international sales team, with colleagues from Spain, Germany and the Czech Republic.
What are you going to do?
- Actively reaching out to customers and prospects: You introduce them to Gondella, listen to their needs and build long-term relationships, acting as a trusted partner who contributes ideas about relevant solutions.
- Retail is your playground: With your experience within or with retailers, you know the sector inside out and know how to reach and convince decision-makers.
- From strategy to action: You translate strategic plans into concrete actions, set priorities, take ownership and ensure market share growth.
- Bridge between customers and our international organization: you translate customer questions and expectations into clear briefings for our Customer Service and Engineering departments.
- Smart pricing strategies: You anticipate pricing challenges, play a key role in preparing and submitting tenders and ensure competitive quotes.
- Coach and motivator: You support and strenghten your team members in their commercial approach, inspire them to get the best out of themselves and work together towards clear objectives.
What will you bring:
- You combine at least 5 years of experience in a commercial role in or within the retail sector with proven succes in business development and sales management, and you know how to achieve commercial growth.
- You have strong leadership qualities that enable you to provide direction, coach and motivate people and achieve results together with your team.
- You have a feeling for technicial insight and are naturally curious, which allows you to quickly familiarize yourself with our products and clearly communicate their added value to customers.
- You are communicative, proactive and analytical. You can quickly assess situations and take initiatives that make a difference.
- You are proficient with digital tools such as Excel and Powerpoint; experience with ERP systems (such as Business Central) is a plus.
- You are fluent in Dutch and French and have a good knowledge of English.
