Gondella Jobs Business Development Manager
As a Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for managing and expanding our client portfolio within the retail sector.
You will play a key role in strongly developing existing customers and identifying new growth opportunities. By building strong and lasting customer relationships, you will ensure that our customers feel supported and understood. You will be the first point of contact for our clients and act as their trusted advisor, guiding them in finding solutions to their challenges.
In this role, you will report directly to the Sales Manager and work closely with the sales team, consisting of Sales Engineers and a Category Developer, to ensure that our customers always receive the best solutions.
What will you do?
Actively prospect and approach potential customers
Manage, retain and increase sales within your client portfolio by:
- Actively responding to customer needs and trends, and ensuring that customers feel heard;
- Advising and guiding clients on their challenges and creating solutions together;
- Creating and implementing action plans;
- Follow up on incoming sales requests (inbound sales).
Work closely and smoothly with other departments by:
- Communicating and following up new concepts and/or developments with the engineering department;
- Passing on concrete information internally for the preparation of a quotation.
What do you bring?
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in Business Development, ideally within the retail sector or a related technical environment.
- Affinity with retail and/or technical products, e.g. (store) fixtures.
- Strong commercial skills and proven account management experience.
- Independent and structured work attitude, with a focus on results.
- Experience in working with a CRM system.
- Language skills: fluent in Dutch and French, and a good knowledge of English.
- Technical curiosity and willingness to quickly acquire specific product knowledge.
